2.3 Adverse effects 2.3.1 Obesity Several studies indicate that there is an association between urinary BPA levels and increased body mass in children and adolescents. In a cross-sectional analysis , a nationally representative subsample of 2838 participants aged from 6 to 19 year old were randomly selected, and their urinary BPA concentration and body mass index (BMI) were measured.
